The </span>280 travel experts scored places they knew on how well those spots have withstood the pressures of mass tourism and time. The panelists <span style="color: rgb(25, 25, 25);">used six criteria weighted according to importance: environmental and ecological quality; social and cultural integrity; condition of historic buildings and archaeological sites; aesthetic appeal; quality of tourism management; and outlook for the future. Asheville and Wilmington were recognized. Noted one panelist regarding Asheville: "They have done a great job of downtown revitalization, trail development, and historic preservation." We will never forget that without satisfied customers we are nothing. Although such a basic principle, it is amazing at how often this simple belief is forgotten by others in our field. This year has been wonderful to <st1:place st="on"><st1:placename st="on">Stonewater</st1:placename> <st1:placetype st="on">Building</st1:placetype></st1:place> and all its employees. We have been blessed to work on so many beautiful homes and work with such a great group of people and families.
